Fintech Web & Mobile App
This app for a prominent B2B Fintech Company was designed to allow adult children and other caregivers to help aging parents manage their assets as external threats increase and internal capacities decrease.
Project details
While it could stand alone, the app is envisioned to be a white label experience provided by national and local banks with their branding. At the inception of a historic generational wealth transfer, I partnered with a development firm to lead product discovery and MVP prototype design.

Starting with a 2-day discovery workshop, I facilitated collaboration with the CEO, agency lead, and solutions architect to determine the core story this product should tell , understand the needs of both the caregiver and the elder user and map the user journey that would convey this story effectively to them. I am showing the workshop plan here but withholding the output to protect proprietary information.

After conducting user interviews, I created 3 user personas and proposed that this product should tell the story of "Protection and Connection", based on the key insights that this audience may 1. Be resistant to the care offered by the product and 2. Suffer from loneliness as much as any other existential threat. Instead a financial management app, we began to create an experience that leveraged financial activity as a means of connection and a "Total Protection Score" that could influence the perception that the product is truly about protection and not about control.
After wire framing all of the key user flows, I created an MVP Figma Prototype that was used by the Fintech company to secure the investments needed to build the product. My influence on UI patterns and Visual design was limited because the client had an existing design system for a previous product that they required me to use.
